Motorcycle Trip

I am sure most have you have heard that me and Brian went on a motorcycle over to the California coast up to Oregon. We had a blast. I would do it again in a heartbeat! I just wanted to share some pictures of our trip. I hope you enjoy them!

The Redwood National Forest. The trees were huge! I have seen them before but it was a long time ago and I don't remember them being so big!

Yes I was taking pictures as we went on the motorcycle. I was so scared that I was going to drop the camera but I didn't want to miss a picture of this bridge we got to go on! it was so pretty! I tried to get most of the bikes that were in our group of people but it is hard to see all of them. There were 7 bikes total.

This is Silver Falls. We were actually able to walk behind the waterfall. It was the perfect end to our trip. This was actually the last place I got to see. Yes I cheated and flew home from Portland!!! I needed to get back to work. It was such a great trip!

Also on our trip is was mine and Brian's 2 year anniversary!! It has been such a great 2 years. Brian is such a great husband and father! I couldn't ask for a better person to spend eternity with!! I Love you Brian!!

Kaylee's Birthday!!!

Kaylee turned 5 today!!! Crazy I know! I can't believe my girl is 5 and starting school this next year. She is so excited!! Tonight we had some of mine and Brian's family over for cake and ice cream. She got lots of new toys and loves the make up her aunt Traci gave her!!! (Thanks Traci!)

I attempted to make and decorate her cake this year but.... all I can say is i cooked it but my mom decorated it. When I started to ice it the cake started crumbling and was getting in the icing. Just then my mom walked in the door to the rescue and she took over!!! (Thanks mom!) she said that the icing was a little thick so i just needed to add a little more milk and it was just fine after that.

In the end it was a nice night with our families! Happy Birthday Kaylee!! Mom loves you!

Sorry it has been a long time since my last post but here are some pictures of a few things that we have been doing...

Here is Madyson on Thanksgiving. Kami at my work let me borrow this cute outfit and bow for her first Thanksgiving. She is getting so big!!!

Kaylee has been taking dance lessons from Rythmn Connection for a few months and her first performance was at the November Fest in Logan. She was so excited to wear make up and dance for her family. Her cousin Brynly dances with her also. The picture of them together I thought was pretty cute.

Then my brother-in-law Jeremy took some family pictures for us at the temple and here are a few of those pictures. Me and Brian stuggle a little bit with keeping our eyes open but we were able to get a few good pictures of us.

(Yes my eyes are open... They don't look like it but they are!!)

IN LOVING MEMORY

November 18, 1935 - September 16, 2008

Brian's Grandma passed away early this morning due to cancer. Her passing away has affected our family greatly. Connie was such a wonderful person with a kind and loving heart. I knew her for a few years and I feel like there was so much more I could have learned from her. I would like Connie to know that she is an insperation to me and I hope that she knows how much we love her and how much we will miss her.

Back To Work

Well yesterday was my first day back to work! It was so hard to leave my girls. Kaylee was used to me being home so she was a little sad when I had to go back. They are going to a daycare up here in Preston on Monday's and Tuesday's. Then on Wednesday's thru Friday's they will be going to my sister's house. I hope that they don't kill my sister she also has a 5 year old and a 2 year old. So she will have her hands full. I am hoping that next year come the end of the school year I will be able to quit my job or get a part time job so i can be at home with my kids more. But I have to admit it is a little nice going back to work. Only a little!!! It is good to be back talking with the girls that I work with and it is also nice to get out of the house!

Baby Blessing

We blessed Madyson on the 4th and it went really well. Just thought that i would share a few pictures of her in her dress. Thanks to all of the family and friends that came. We actually started running out of food and drinks because so many people came!! It was good to see everyone.

We thought it would be fun to put Madyson in cousin Skylee's carrier with her. The funny part was that neither one of them cared that they were there. You would think that one of them would get mad or something but they didn't. If you were wondering Skylee is about 4 months now.

Kaylee has been such a big helper!!! and when I say big I mean big. Most of the time it is of course to much help! But i guess some is better then none.

We got this gift from a family friend and they gave Madyson a new bow!! Well i tried it on her just to see what it looks like. What do you all think??????

It is a very cute bow I must say. But I think my little girls head is to small!! Maybe in a few months it will look a little better. Madyson is now 4 weeks old! Time flies when you are staying at home with kids. It will be hard to go back to work. I still have 6 weeks though!!!

Madyson Leigh Checketts

She is here!!! 4 weeks early but she is doing great. She arrived on July 1st at 6:46 p.m. She weighed 6 lbs. 10 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long.

She had to stay in the NICU for a day so these pictures are of her there. When she came out her oxygen level was low so they kept her there to monitor her. She does have alot of hair!!!!!

This is after her first bath at home. Needless to say she didn't like it very much!!! but she got over it pretty quick.

My friends at work gave me and her a gift card to a photographer so we are going on Saturday to get those done! I am so excited! Thanks again girls for the gift!

Just a Few Things

I guess to start of this post I will tell you that we are having another girl. We are excited. I am starting to make her bedding and it is turning out pretty cute I must say!! I will post pictures another time. Everything health wise we are doing good. The weeks are just not going by fast enough.

I also just wanted to say to Ashley at my work that I am so excited for her and I that I will miss her. She is moving to Denver Co. this month. I hope that she keeps in touch. I am sad that she is going to miss the new baby but I will try my best at keeping my blog more up to date so she doesn't miss anything.

The Update

It has been a little crazy at the Checketts house. Last week Kaylee got sick. She is doing better just has the gross cough still. Over the weekend we started to remodel our bathroom. (Actually Brian is remodeling the bathroom. I have just helped here and there but he has done most of it.) It is turning out really nice. I will post some pictures when it is complete. And to sum it up I am now getting sick. I am trying to fight it the best I can. All i can say is it will be nice to have this pregnancy over with!! Speaking of the baby things are going good with that! We will be going in on March 12 to find out if we are having a boy or a girl. I can't wait to find out!! Still hoping for a boy but will be just as excited if we get a girl. There is just a quick little update about what is going on with us.

We had a great visit to the doctor on Friday morning! We got to see the baby for the first time. and for looking like an alien it is pretty darn cute. I will try and see if I can get the pictures up of the little one. We can already tell this baby might be a hand full. It would not move its hand from its face. It would just sit there! So lets hope that when the time comes to see if it is a boy or a girl it will work with us more. The doctor also moved my due date. It is now on the 28th of July. So that was nice to here. Can't say much for not being sick anymore! This weekend i ran out of my pills that keep me from vomiting. I thought it would be a good test to see if things were going to get better. Needless to say not even close. I was sick all weekend. So i will be getting back on those pills ASAP. I can't stand being sick.

Somthing New!!

I am sure that most of you all know by now that we are going to have a new baby. We are very excited. Tomorrow we will be going in for our first ultrasound. It really hasn't seemed that it is really happening. I am sure that it will change after tomorrow. I am a little nervous about how Kaylee is going to act about it all. I guess that is something we are going to have to see when the time comes. As of right now my due date is Aug 4th. But i am hoping that tomorrow it will change. Well I just wanted you all to know the new information. I will keep you posted on what happens tomorrow!

Ok I got the pictures to go with my last post. There are a few to share so just bare with me for a minute!

These are pictures of other people that do it. I was in shock when i saw these.

(This man is at least 75 years old and he still races. In fact he has a snowmobile that he fixed all up and he can go about 95+ MPH on it! So never think you are to old)

These little guys are about 4 to 5 years old. I thought that they were so cute!!

And of course Kaylee was her more than helpful self with helping Brian spray the dirt and grass of his snowmobile. She loved every minute of it!

And last but not least! My Family!!! (not the biggest fan of the picture but this is the best one out of all of them!! Oh well!)

I know, I know I haven't posted in a long time!! Sorry. Don't think because I haven't posted I have don't nothing. We have!! I will tell you a short version of what has happened over the month. Then I will post pictures.

First Halloween - Kaylee was actually with her dad this year so it was pretty quiet without her. She was of course a princess and she loved every minute of it. Her Grandma and Grandpa in Colorado own a business so she got to go give a halloween treat to all of their customers. She loved the attention. Before she left to her dad's we carved pumkins and spent a little family time together. We always try to do that before she goes.

Last Saturday - Brian actually participated in the Grass Drags this year in Logan. For you all that don't know what that is it is when they race on grass with there snowmobiles. It looks pretty fun. He didn't place in the 800 class but placed 2nd in the 700 class. He has tried to get me to do it. I just need to get up the nerve to do it. You go really fast. So maybe next year??? Who knows.

Thanksgiving - It was a pretty fun day. We had our big feast at my dad's house in Smithfield. All of my family was there except my sister Wendy she had other plans. It of course was full of laughter, remember when stories and grandkids running around playing. I always love getting together with my family. Now days it is a little harder to get all together with my parents being divorced and also with the family getting so big.

Well that is the run down for you. I will make sure I am better at posting. And i will also get some pictures up of the grass drags and halloween. Happy Holidays to You All!!!

We got Rufus almost a year ago and he is a pretty fun cat. One minute he is cuddling and the next he if freaking out and running all over the house. This is a picture of he and Kaylee laying down on the couch together. She thought that it was pretty funny.

We have some good news in our family!!! My brother is getting married! We are all excited for him. They will be getting married when he is done with school in the spring. Congrats Big Bro!

The Wedding

As i have said Me and Brian were married June 8th 2007. We were married by his bishop. (he did great) We first had a wedding lunch, then the wedding and then the reception. As everyone says the day went by way fast. But is was fun. We had the whole day at the Franklin Fire Station. My mom did all of the decorations. She did a great job. She also supplied the food, which was also great. (My mom was really busy that day!) These are a few pictures from the day.
